Odette Burton

Odette Boudreaux Burton, age 87, born February 26, 1934 passed away at home on
Friday, April 16, 2021.

She was a devoted and nurturing wife and mother. Her children and grandchildren were one of her many joys in life in addition to sewing, knitting, crocheting, and other forms of hand work. She was an East Baton Rouge Parish School Bus Driver and Bookkeeper. Odette and her husband JC enjoyed traveling, camping, square and round dancing.

Odette is survived by her children Diane Tanner, Debbie Dunetz, Gary and wife Maria, John T and wife Annette, Chris and wife Tonya. Gwyn Carlin and husband, Kenny; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren, sister Grace Burton, brother Nolan Boudreaux.

Odette is preceded in death by her husband, John Burton; parents, Clebert A and Olive L Boudreaux; sisters Kathy Prouty and Marie Trosclair and granddaughter Tessa.

Visitation will take place at St. George Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 form 9:00am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Entombment will follow at St. George Catholic Mausoleum.
