Norman Laborde, Jr.

Norman Anthony LaBorde Jr. died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011, at Ollie Steele Burden Manor. He was 81, a native of Reserve and a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a partner in Comet Distribution Services Inc. Visitation at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Sunday, Feb. 13, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11441 Goodwood Blvd., on Monday, Feb. 14, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Andrew Merrick. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. He is survived by a daughter and soninlaw, Leigh and Joe Pendas, of Atlanta son and daughterinlaw, Ronnie and Janell LaBorde, of Baton Rouge daughter, Jeri Lavespere, of Denham Springs daughter, Lauren LaBorde, of Baton Rouge son and daughterinlaw, Glen and Leslie LaBorde, of Baton Rouge sister, Margaret Stout, of Baton Rouge and 10 grandchildren, Ben Pendas, Mark Pendas and wife Ashley, and David Pendas, all of Atlanta, Amanda LaBorde, Allyson LaBorde, Lt. Ron LaBorde Jr., Matthew LaBorde, Brian Gremillion and wife April, Jeff Gremillion, and Mignon LaBorde, all of Baton Rouge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Landry LaBorde and parents, Norman Anthony LaBorde Sr. and Cecile Phillips LaBorde. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Tim Frederick and Doris Hall for their loving care provided.
