Norma Edelmann

Norma Lee McDonough Edelmann, 88, of Petit Jean Mountain, AR passed away on 12/22/2018 in Baton Rouge. A memorial service will be held to celebrate her life at 12:00 pm 12/29/2018 at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, LA 70816. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10:00am to noon. A private family burial will be at a later date. Norma was born in Petit Jean Mountain, AR on July 13, 1930. She graduated from Newellton High School. Norma was married to Nathan J Edelmann of Washington DC in Baton Rouge. Norma was a retired banker and Notary Public and enjoyed dealing in antiques. Norma is survived by Alan Dawes (son), Dana Edelmann Raines (daughter), Nathan J Edelmann JR (son), five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren, Kay Fletcher (godchild, niece) and other family and many friends. She is preceded in death by Telitha Cumi May (mother), Virgil McDonough (father), James H May (stepfather), Imojean Carlino (sister), and Nathan J Edelmann (husband). In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady, 4200 Essen Lane, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The family wishes to thank the staffs at PACE of Baton Rouge and Ollie Steele Burden Manor for their compassionate care of our mother.
