Nora Tessier

On Jan 2, 2021 at 2:10 p.m., Nora Ellen Ryland Tessier “Dootsie”, left her earthly home in Greenwell Springs, La. for a more desirable home with pearl entrance gates and streets of gold.

Preceding her relocation were her father, Sharkie Ryland, Mother Myrtle Kimble Ryland, brothers Willard C Ryland, Otis E Ryland, Sharkie L Ryland, and sister Mae Ryland Kimble.

She is survived by husband of 60 years Jerry Tessier, sister Margie Ryland Donachricha, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Nora was born in Naples, Louisiana on June 22, 1934 and eventually moved to Baton Rouge, La. where she worked for Bell Telephone Company, now known as A T & T for 31 years.  She was a loving wife, a beautiful sister, a wonderful aunt, an unforgettable cousin, a memorable friend, and a gracious neighbor.

Services will be at Resthaven Funeral Home on Saturday Jan 9, 2021 at 11:00 am with visitation from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.  Pallbearers will be Terry Ryland, Lonnie Ryland, Barry Ryland, Durwin Ryland, Carl Ryland Jr., and Ronnie Zumo.
