Our loving angel on Earth, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great-grandmother, Nora Lee Breaux, has departed this Earth on October 8, 2021 to be reunited with her Lord and beloved husband. She was 92.
Nora was born in Plaquemine to Leona and Emile Burgoyne on February 9, 1929, where she also met the love of her life Donald Breaux. They married, moved to Baton Rouge and immediately started the large family they both wanted. She was a devoted homemaker and always remained strong in her faith to the church. Together they built a home that was filled with joy, love and welcoming to all. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Alphonsus Church, where she attended Novena and Chapel weekly, and never missed Mass on Sunday. She enjoyed life tremendously, attending every event celebrating her family, took periodical trips with the girls and attended every LSU home game.
She is survived by her children Donnie (Prissy), Debbie Corley (Tommy), Ronnie (Charmon), Darryl, Dwayne (Carla), Danny (Mary), 23 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her loving spouse Donald Breaux, parents Leona and Emile Burgoyne, and son David Breaux.
Visiting hours will take place at St Alphonsus on Wednesday October 13, 2021 from 10:30am until services at 12pm. Burial will follow at Grace Memorial in Plaquemine, LA.
Pallbearers will be her sons and grandson, Anthony, standing in for her son David. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude.
Special thanks to all her doctors, especially nurse practitioner Sharon Lobell, who went the extra mile, also St Joseph Hospice and the Carpenter House and staff who helped us see her to the end peacefully.
Family and friends may sign the online guestbook or leave a personal note to the family at www.resthavenbatonrouge.com.
