Mr. Nolan P. Daigle, Sr. passed away at his home on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 7:25am. He was 78 years old a native of Plaquemine and a resident of Baton Rouge. He retired as a supervisor for Gulf States Utilities after 36 12 years of service and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. Nolan and Deeda were RVers and traveled all over the United States and Canada. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Sunday, May 30th from 5pm9pm with a rosary at 6:30pm, conducted by the Knights of Columbus. Visiting resumes at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 12424 Brogdon Lane on Monday, May 31st at 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Conducted by Rev. Jerry Martin. Entombment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory Mausoleum. He is survived by his wife of over 57 years, Margaret Deeda Daigle 4 daughters, Cheryl Monte of Baton Rouge Renee Keating and husband, Thomas of Marietta, Ga. Kristie Langlois and Tara Daigle, both of Woodstock, Ga 1 son, Nolan P. Daigle, Jr. and wife, Glenda of Baton Rouge 1 sister, Joanne LeBlanc and husband, Earl 1 brother, Abel Daigle 1 sisterinlaw, Shirley Landry and husband, Wayne 8 grandchildren, Shawn Keating and fiancee, Jennifer Joseph Monte and wife Marie Rachael Daigle Shelly Daigle Landon Keating Jessica Laudermill Mary Lee Laudermill and Derek Langlois 4 great grandchildren, Dillan, Kensley, Ty and Nola Elizabeth. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jules and Nola Daigle 4 sisters, Therese Businelle Lele Allain Mary Lee Cullotta Emily Allain 3 brothers, Edward Daigle Bruce Daigle and J.P. Daigle. Pallbearers will be Landon Keating Shawn Keating Joseph Monte Derek Langlois Anthony Buster Culotta Danny Daigle Doren Daigle and John Wayne Businelle. Honorary Pallbearers will be Archie Browning Richard Businelle Millard Allain Tommy LeBlanc Henry Lasseigne and Harold Daigle. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church Knights of Columbus Council 3331 Sideliners Retirement Club and Cruisin Cajuns. The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Baton Rouge, Dr. Georgia Reine Dr. Denzil Moraes Dr. James Morris and their staff and the physicians and staff at the Baton Rouge Clinic for the care given to Mr. Daigle during his illness.
