Nola Jean Gazaway, a resident of Baton Rouge, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, November 30, 2010. She was 90 years old, a born in Vinita, OK and raised in Cushing, OK. She retired from the Coastal Studies Department at LSU. Visiting will be at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Thursday, December 2nd from 5pm 8pm. Visiting resumes at Resthaven Funeral Home on Friday, December 3rd at 9am until service at 11am. Burial will be in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Gremillion and husband, Myron of Gonzales, La 2 sons, David Gazaway and wife, Nootim Tim of Ethel, LA and Michael Gazaway and wife, Cinda of Noxon, MT 3 grandchildren, Stacy and Andy Gremillion of Gonzales, La. and Sam Gazaway of Reno, NV 6 great grandchildren, Zack, Alex, Allie Jean, Derek, Ryan and Gabriel. Preceded in death by her mother and father her husband of 66 years, Harmon Gaz Gazaway 2 sisters and 2 brothers. A special thanks to the staff of Old Jefferson Community Care Center and Hospice of Compassus, especially those who were so kind and took such great care of her. She loved her family, gardening and painting. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the Hospice of Compassus, 8280 YMCA Plaza Drive, Bldg 3, Suite B, Baton Rouge, La. 70810.
