Nita Arnold Rizzuto passed away on, Sunday, July 18, 2021, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She was born June 26, 1928, in Franklin County, Mississippi, but lived most of her life in Baton Rouge. She retired from Our Lady of the Lake RMC as a department supervisor in the business office, with 31 years of service. She has been an active member of Woodlawn Baptist Church for over 40 years. She enjoyed her Sunday School class, the senior group at church, and the circle of friends meetings. She also enjoyed watching LSU football and softball on TV. She loved her family and took great pride in her daughters and grandson.
Nita was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Sam M. Rizzuto; parents, Lee and Mattie Arnold; and sisters, Flora Mae Smith and Doris Daves.
She is survived by her children, Jan Metz and husband, Gary, and Sharon Cole and husband Stan; grandchildren, Brandon Metz and wife Jana and Brian Cole and wife Renee; great-grandchildren, Hayden Metz, Megan Laas, and Cameron Cole; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Friday, July 23, 2021, beginning at 9:30 AM until Funeral Services at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
