Nina A. Montgomery,
native of Plaucheville and resident of Baton Rouge, LA., passed away peacefully at her home at the age of 63. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother and sister. Nina loved to sew, craft, garden, and was an excellent cook. She was a devoted member of Istrouma Baptist Church.
Nina is survived by her husband of 28 years, Kenneth Montgomery two daughters, Kim Torres, and Suzette Morgan and husband Todd son, Don Torres and wife Kristin six grandchildren, Morgan Torres, Stephanie Torres, Samantha Torres, Caleb Torres, Hannah Canezaro, and Annie Morgan greatgrandchild, Colby Celestine sisters, Ruth Stroughter, and Margaret Addison and husband Alton and brother, Douglas Plauche and wife Diane. She is preceded in death by her parents, Visitant and Gladys Juneau Plauche brother, Malcolm Plauche and nephew, Glenn Parenton.
Visiting hours will be observed at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Friday, July 4, 2014 from 5:00 pm8:00 pm. Visiting will resume at Istrouma Baptist Church, 10500 Sam Rushing Dr., on Saturday, July 5, 2014 from 10:00 am until service time. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, conducted by Ray Raney. Interment will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
