Nettie Lou Starns Arceneaux, age 92, a resident of Denham Springs, LA and a former resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on March 24, 2017.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Nettie worked for the City of Baton Rouge, Department of Public Works for over 30 years. She was a faithful member of Northside Baptist Church, and was the oldest active living member. She volunteered for the food bank, was on the church visitation committee and was actively involved in her Sunday school class. Nettie also enjoyed traveling on bus trips with her friends.
Nettie is survived by her son, Will A. Arceneaux and wife Brenda; her daughter, Darlene A. Rogers and husband Larry D.; her grandchildren, Don J. Arceneaux and wife Annie, Emily A. Bognar and husband Chris, Wade Ford and wife Michelle, Shannon Voss and husband Otis, Chris Klaus and wife Keri, Michael C. Klaus and wife Rachel B. and Rachel E. Klaus; nine great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Anna Arceneaux.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 ½ years, Calvin J. Arceneaux; parents, Julius Warren Starns and Mecia McLin Starns; and two sisters, Margie Lea Starns Brown and Betty Lorilla Starns Baronne.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA on Monday, March 27, 2017 from 4pm until 7pm and will resume on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 from 12pm until funeral service at 2pm, officiated by Bro. Joseph E. Starns and Bro. James Carson. Burial will immediately follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
Pallbearers will be Chris Klaus, Michael Klaus, Wade Ford, Noah Ford, Dillon Case and Brice Case.
