Neale Nelson

November 21, 1918 — January 31, 2011

A Lutheran minister, retired from Regis University, Denver, he died at 7:12 a.m. Monday, Jan. 31, 2011, at his residence in Baton Rouge. He was 92 and a native of Cannon Falls, Minn. Memorial service at Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 3555 Jones Creek Road, on Saturday, Feb. 5, at 11 a.m., conducted by Pastor Kim LittleBrooks. Inurnment in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Salt Lake City. Survived by his daughter and soninlaw, Kathryn and Marc Foulks, Sandy, Utah son, John Nelson, Baton Rouge two grandsons, Matthew N. Foulks and wife Amy, Salt Lake City, and Jason M. Foulks and wife Lacy, Draper, Utah and four greatgrandchildren, Anna, Jenna, Lucy and Berkley. Preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Marie Nelson parents, Oscar Birger and Hulda Catherine Nelson sister, Sylvia Havlisch and two brothers, Stanley and Winston Nelson. He was a member of Lutheran Church of Our Savior. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 3555 Jones Creek Road, Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
