Nancy Drago

Nancy Ann Smith Drago, a resident of Central, passed away at the age of 71, on April 21, 2018.

Nancy was born on June 29, 1946 to Ann and Hugh Smith. She graduated from Hammond High School in 1964 and was married to Roma Paul Drago on August 5, 1967. Nancy was a devoted housewife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her three loving sons, Brian Drago and wife, Rachel, James Drago and wife, Renae, and Timothy Drago and girlfriend, Heather. Left to cherish her memories are her 7 grandchildren, Victoria, Brayten, Jacob, Crystal, Caleb, Haley, and AnnaLyn. She is also survived by her brother, Dean Smith and wife, Debbie; brothers-in-law, Michael Drago and wife, Naomi, Greg Drago and wife, Lynn; and sisters-in-law, Ida Arnold, Barbara Vick, Sheila LaCour, and Vanessa Drago. Nancy also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family.

Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Roma Drago; her mother, Ann Smith; and father and mother-in-law, Frank and Belva Drago.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 12:00pm until funeral service at 2:00pm. Inurnment will immediately follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Pallbearers are James and Timothy Drago. Honorary pallbearers are Dean Smith, Mike Drago, Greg Drago, and Chris Efferson.

We mourn her death but celebrate her life. She will be missed by all who loved her.

Our sincere appreciation is extended, by the family, to Dr. Gerald Miletello and his nursing staff, The Haven and their caregivers, and The Hospice of Baton Rouge and their staff, with a special thanks to Madalynn Traylor, all of whom took such special care of Nancy during her illness.
