Murphy Ortego

Born on April 22, 1932, he was called home to the Lord on Friday, Nov. 4, 2011. He was 79 and a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia Pino sons, Keith and Darren Sr. daughter, Rosemary Burleigh and husband Troy grandchildren, Shannon Burleigh and Darren Ortego, Jr. greatgranddaughter, Emilee Ortego brother, Warren sisters, Aline, and Evelyn and husband Jerry Shaw and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by mother, Rose Emma Ducote and father Clemile Ortego, son Brian Wayne Ortego. Visitation at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, 225 7531440, on Sunday, Nov. 6, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Monday, Nov. 7, from 1 p.m. until service at 2 p.m. Christian burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
