Frances Eichelberger Willett,
88, died peacefully at 9:40 p.m., July 11, 2014. She was born on August 9, 1925 in Morton, Mississippi. After graduating from High School in Mississippi she moved to Shreveport to go to Beauty College. There she met a wonderful friend Joyce Willett Richards who introduced her to the love of her life, Cleve. In 1947, she married Cleve Alon Willett and moved to Baton Rouge. She and Cleve opened and operated Cleve Willett Tires from 1972 until their retirement in 2002. She was a loving, devoted and caring wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, and greatgreatgrandmother. Her passion was helping others in need and being a good servant of the Lord. She was a charter member of Jefferson Baptist Church. Throughout the years she served as Sunday School teacher, served on Church Committees, Nursery Coordinator, WMU President, member of Lioness Club and many other organizations.
She is survived by her children, Bryant Frank Willett and wife Marion, Rhonda Willett Hebert and husband Billy, Cleve Alon Willett, II and Ronald Arthur Willett and wife Sandra. Grandchildren, Dawn Beasley and husband Joe, Bryant Willett and wife Jennifer, Dustin Willett, Frances Elizabeth Wilson and husband Tony, Melissa McNeal and husband Chuck, William Hebert, Cleve Alon Willett, III and wife Angie, Adam Willett and wife Gretchen, Chad Willett and wife Ashley and Ambrey Nicholson and husband Coyt. 21 greatgrandchildren and 1 greatgreat grandchild. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Cleve Alon Willett parents, Robert Frank Eichelberger and Hazel Turner Eichelberger sister, Grace Elizabeth Eichelberger Cooper and brother, Mack Aubrey Eichelberger.
Visiting hours will be observed at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, on Sunday, July 13, 2014 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visiting will resume at Jefferson Baptist Church, where she was a member, 9135 Jefferson Hwy., on Monday, July 14, 2014 from 9:00 am until funeral services at 11:00 am, conducted by Dr. T. C. French and Dr. David Goza. Interment to follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jefferson Baptist Church Young at Heart, Cancer Society, or Gideons International.
