A native and resident of Baton Rouge, he passed away at 1:30am on Friday, May 20, 2011 at the Carpenter House. He was 86 years old, a retired Plumbing Inspector for the City of Baton Rouge and a WWII Navy veteran who served on the Battleship Tennessee. Visiting will be at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Monday, May 23rd from 9am until service at 11am, conducted by Pastor Chrystal Welch. Interment will be in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. He is survived by his only child, Kirby and wife Patti Durham two grandchildren, Brannan Durham and Brandy Kelley and three great grandchildren, Shelby, Madison and Michael. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenner Foster and Margie Anders Durham brothers, Alvis G. Durham, Kenner P. Durham and John Paul Durham his first wife and mother of his child, Agnes F. Durham and his second wife, Evelyn G. Durham. The family would like to extend their thanks to St. Josephs Hospice and the Carpenter House.
