Mordaus Famous Billings, Jr., was born on November 24, 1925. He passed from this life to his heavenly home on October 27, 2015. He was a resident of Greenwell Springs, and a native of Plaquemine, Louisiana. He served in the United States Army during WWII where he received a purple heart. He was retired from Town and Country Furniture. "June", as he was affectionately called by his family, enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his four children, Wanda Billings Kelso and husband Larry of Central, Michael E. Billings and wife Tracy of Greenwell Springs, Wendell K. Billings and wife Cynthia of Central, and Kris D. Billings and wife Jacqulyn of Denham Springs. "PawPaw Junior" had 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Genevieve Reddick of Defuniak Springs, Florida.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Hazel Marlene McDaniel Billings, his parents Mordaus Famous Billings, Sr. and Genevieve Billings, and his three brothers, Leroy, J.E. and Patrick Billings.
Visitation and Funeral service will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory & Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, LA on Saturday, October 31. Visiting hours will be observed from 9:00 AM until funeral service at 12:30 PM.
Interment will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
