Monique Tarver Arceneaux, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and former nurse, passed away on January 10, 2024. She was born on November 19, 1972, in Tucson, Arizona to Dennis Tarver and Jennifer Robeau, but spent most of her life in Baton Rouge.
Monique graduated from Bishop Sullivan High School and after discovering a passion for caregiving later in her life obtained her LPN degree from Delta College. She touched the lives of countless people with her compassionate care and selfless service before her nursing career was tragically cut short due to chronic illness.
Monique had a passion for painting, spending time with her beloved dog, Snowflake, and cooking her famous queso before LSU football games, but her biggest enjoyment came from spending time with family and friends.
A devout Christian, Monique’s faith was central to her life. The hope she found in Jesus permeated every conversation and interaction that she had.
Monique is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Paul J. Arceneaux; children, Paul (T-Paul) and wife Ami Arceneaux, Austin Arceneaux, Ian and wife Madison Arceneaux; father, Dennis Tarver; sisters, Shawnnesey Arceneaux, Jillian Hatfield, and Courtney Blocker; aunt, Wanda Ballard; stepmother Brenda Tarver; stepbrother, Jeremy Tarver; stepsister, Kayla Hathaway; and her grandchildren Valerie, PJ, Stella and Charlotte Arceneaux. She is preceded in death by her mother, Jennifer Robeau.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses and staff at Heart of Hospice, and give special thanks to Aunt Sally and the Crifasi family, Mrs. Penny, and Mrs. G for their continual love and support.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation service for Monique Arceneaux on January 17, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home located at 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
