Mollya D. Haley

August 26, 1948 — October 12, 2023

Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Mollya D. Haley passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at the age of 75.  She was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Melvin Duhe and Pat Porter Duhe.  Mollya attended Louisiana State University and retired as an IT Management Consultant for the State of Louisiana.

Mollya is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Melvin “Slick” Duhe, Jr. She is survived by her loving husband of more than 50 years, Robert “Bob” Haley; their daughters Ashley Haley Putman and husband Steve, and Lindsay Haley Stafford and husband Brett; her beloved grandchildren John Edwards, Cooper Stafford, and Scott Putman.  She is also survived by her devoted friends Wanda Smith and Carol Triola, as well as numerous other loving family and friends.

The family would like to thank the ICU and ACE doctors, nurses, and staff at Baton Rouge General Hospital on Bluebonnet for their compassionate care and concern for Mollya; we are forever grateful.

Mollya’s kindness and love affected many, whether it was while volunteering with the Hospice of Baton Rouge or as her time as a member of St. Joseph’s Academy Mother’s Club or the Wives of Vietnam Warriors, she was always there to help in any way. But it shone through most of all as a nurturing and loving wife and mom.

A devout Catholic, Mollya loved spending her time gardening, sewing, baking, and cooking: her gumbo and potato salad will live on through Ashley and Lindsay, though they both say they can’t do it like their mom. She’ll live on with us forever, and we take some comfort that she has reunited with her parents and Slick.

A private service and burial will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory & Funeral Home.

Family and friends may sign the online guestbook or leave a personal note to the family at www.resthavenbatonrouge.com.
