Molly Lea Moran, 71, of Baton Rouge, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was born in New Orleans and moved to Baton Rouge as a young child. She graduated from Baton Rouge High School and attended Newcomb College. She was preceded in death by her parents, W. Ralph Moran and Irma P. Moran. She is survived by her brother, Harry P. Moran, of Baton Rouge and three sons, Christopher Poch, of New Orleans, Michael Poch, of Baton Rouge and David Poch, of New Orleans as well as five grandchildren. She was a retired board certified substance abuse counselor who worked at Baton Rouge General Health Centers Chemical Dependency Unit, Our Lady of the Lakes Tau Center and OBrien House. Additionally, she was a lifelong artisan. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Sunday, Jan. 22, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association .
