Mixon Wilson, Jr.

A retired employee of Copolymer Corp. with 40 years of service and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2011, at Jefferson Manor. He was 81 and a native of New Orleans. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Friday, March 4, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting at St. George Catholic Church on Saturday, March 5, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Mike Schatzle. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Georgie V. Skeets Wilson a daughter and soninlaw, Pat and Gerry Chidester two sons, Richard H. Wilson and Patrick R. Wilson five grandchildren, Jennifer Traylor, Rachel Wilson, Angela Wilson, Seth Wilson and Andre Wilson and seven greatgrandchildren, Dion, Dillon, Londyn, Peyton, Alexis, Jayce and Kyra. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mixon H. Sr. and Zita Deda Wilson a sister, Marilyn Downs and a grandson, Michael Chidester. He was a member of St. George Catholic Church.
