Mitchell Bourgeois

Mitchell Rene Bourgeois of Baton Rouge, Louisiana passed away in his sleep Tuesday, February 4th, 2014. He was 59 years old.


Born in New Orleans, Louisiana on July 7, 1954 Mitch was preceded in death by his father Ernest Rene Bourgeois and his sister Charlotte Bourgeois Sovic. His two children, daughter Adrianne Bourgeois and son Owen Bourgeois survive him. In addition those left to cherish his memory are his mother,
Madge Cronan Bourgeois, sister Suzanne Bourgeois Ewing, and brothers Tim Bourgeois and Daniel Bourgeois. Many nieces and nephews also survive him.


Mitch attended Alexandria Senior High School, Alexandria graduating in 1972. After serving in the Navy and he received an honorable discharge. Mitch then went to work in the pest control business with his father and eventually acquired and operated Mr. Bs pest control services.


Mitch loved Mardi Gras. attending festivals, cooking and tennis. His quick wit and sense of humor will be missed by all that new him. Many will remember him from his time spent playing tennis at Southern Oaks Tennis Club.


There will be a memorial service at Most Blessed Sacrament on
Wednesday, February 12, 2013 at 11:00. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:30 until 11:00.
