Minerva Ann Jarreau passed peacefully on April 6, 2016.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Ann; her parents, Sam and Josephine; and her sister, Josephine Dispenza LaDart.
Survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Al; her son, Kenny (Sharrian) of Denham Springs, LA; her daughters, Cynthia (Hollis) of Baton Rouge, and Jo Ann of Houston, Texas; her granddaughter, Valerie of Baton Rouge, her great-grandchildren, Alison, Joseph, and Joshua; her sister, Jeannette (Sal) and her brother, Vincent (Betty).
Ann was born in Independence, LA, and moved to Baton Rouge as a young woman to begin her career at Albemarle Corp.
After her marriage to AL, She continued to work for Albemarle and raised their children. She and Al spent many years at their weekend home in Centreville, Mississippi, where they planted and maintained a productive peach orchard. She was especially passionate about her gardens of day lilies.
She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Visiting hours will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Sunday, April 10, 2016 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. Visiting hours will resume on Monday, April 11, 2016 at 1:00 PM until service at 2:00 PM.
Interment will take place in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
She leaves us rich in memories.
