Mildred Shelton

On Tuesday, January 28, 2014, our angel peacefully received her wings. She was 78 years old and died from complications of Alzheimers. She blessed so many lives as a daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, caregiver and friend. She was considered a loving angel by everyone who knew her. What made her happiest was helping others. Millie is survived by her mother, and caregiver, Audrey Covington sister, Maudie Siemann daughters, Pam McClendon and Rhonda LeJeune and husband Jamie stepdaughter, Karen Breezy Stott and husband David stepson, Daniel McClendon grandsons, Jason Wilson, William Helmke, Christopher Helmke, Derek Helmke greatgrandchildren, Carter Tod Wilson and Aralyn Helmke and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her father, Andrew Bridges Shelton husband, Frederick L. McClendon, Sr. stepson, Ricky McClendon and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at HeartsEase Family Life Church, 12112 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, officiated by Pastor Philip Pimlott.
