Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, for Mildred E. Manning Crutchfield, 85, who died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011, while a resident of Maison Teche Nursing Home, Jeanerette. The Rev. Mike Ferguson, Lanier Baptist Church, will officiate the funeral followed by graveside service at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Mrs. Crutchfield was a member of Lanier Baptist Church during her prior residency in Baton Rouge. She had been an inhome caregiver for 25 years and was employed at Southern Bell from 1947 to 1949. She is survived by her two sons, Kenneth M. Crutchfield and wife Barbara Lee, and Robert W. Crutchfield and wife Katheryn, all of Jeanerette two daughters, Barbara C. Spraggins and husband Bill, of New Iberia, and Brenda C. Delaune and husband Cedric, of Lafayette four grandchildren five greatgrandchildren and sister, Billie Herrington Turner, of Ethel. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.C. Crutchfield parents, Charles J. and Lucy Mae Vine Manning two sisters, Amelia Mickey Mae M. Crutchfield, who was of Baton Rouge, and Helen Feierabend Love Kent, who was of Clinton and brother, Charles H. Manning, who was of Zachary. Special thanks to all the staff at Heart of Hospice and Maison Teche Nursing Home for the love and care they provided.
