Mike is also survived by his sister Jackie Robert, and many nieces and nephews.

Raised in Donaldsonville, Louisiana, Mike attended Ascension Catholic High School where he excelled at football. Upon graduating in 1951, he was awarded a scholarship to play college football at S.L.I. (now University of Louisiana at Lafayette). Halfway through his college career, Mike was drafted into the U.S. Army and was stationed in Europe with U.S. occupation troops. After his military service, he returned to college in Lafayette, met his future wife, Olga, and finished his college career earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He and Olga moved to Baton Rouge where he began a successful 43 year career with Allstate. In addition to his career, Mike was involved in many charitable and religious organizations, including serving as President of the Catholic School Athletic League, and participating as an active member in the American Italian Association, the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, where he also held various officer positons.

Mike’s hobbies included working on his tree farm in Felixville, Louisiana for almost thirty years, as well as wood working in his shop at home. Mike was an avid Ragin’ Cajuns football fan, attended many of their games, and was a member of the Ragin’ Cajuns Athletic Foundation.

Mike was preceded in death by his infant daughter Helen Ann, and his parents Mike Milano and Lucy Belle Messina, as well as three sisters, Mary Civello, Lucy Belle Sotile and Beverly LeBlanc. Services will be held on July 23, 2022 at Resthaven Funeral Home on Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge. Visitation is at 10 am and services begin at 11 am.
