Mignonne Simoneaux

Mignonne Marie Simoneaux, age 60, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, October 16, 2022.

Mignonne graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy and LSU.  After a few years in Atlanta, Mignonne moved to Central Connecticut to work for IBM, where she lived for 23 years.   She married Rick Grape in 2004 and enjoyed spending time travel around the Northeast.   She moved back home to Baton Rouge in the spring of 2020.

Mignonne is preceded in death by her husband of 18 years, Richard Kevin Grape, Sr.  She is survived by her parents, Frank and Marcy Simoneaux, her sister Michelle Simoneaux Quinn (Michael), and 3 brothers, F. Paul Simoneaux (Marie), Rainier L. Simoneaux, Denis C. Simoneaux (Keisha), stepsons Richard K Grape, Jr. (Merica) and Randall T. Grape and nieces Elizabeth Ollre (Todd Ollre), Emily Dunlap, Camille Dunlap and Isabelle Simoneaux, step-grandchildren Seraphina and Bacchus Grape,  three sisters in law, Marie Simoneaux, Keisha Simoneaux and Eileen Roth and two great nieces Blair and Maren Ollre.

Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Gardens on October 20, 2022 from 9:00 until services at 10:30.   Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Paul Simoneaux, Rainier Simoneaux, Denis Simoneaux, Michael Quinn, Todd Ollre and Joe Lancaster.  In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Vincent de Paul in Mignonne’s name.
