A retired employee of Turner Industries, he died at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, at his home in Baton Rouge. He was 63 and a native of Zarownie, Poland. Visiting at St. George Catholic Church on Monday, Feb. 23, from noon until Mass of Christian Burial at 2 p.m., celebrated by the Rev. Frank Bass. Interment in the church cemetery. Survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Iwona and Brandon Keel, and Mary Lis; sister, Dzitka Mucha; brother, Krzysiek Lis; other family members; and his two German Shepherds, Gunner and Weiss. Preceded in death by his wife, Jadwiga Lis. He was a member of St. George Catholic Church. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 10528 Kentshire Court, Baton Rouge, LA 70810. He served in the Polish military.
