Michael Smith

Michael George Smith, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on October 9, 2016. He was 68 years old.

Mike is survived by his wife, Alyce Bordelon Smith; his children, Jeffrey Filmore Smith and his wife Elianna, Wesley Devore Smith, Jaimi Smith Schaneville and her husband Steven Schaneville, and Lanny Michael Smith and his wife Jana Murry Smith; his brother, Richard Leon Smith, Jr. and his wife Elaine G. Smith; his grandchildren who called him Pa, Justin Rylan Smith, Zachary Hayden Schaneville, and Alexander Judah (AJ) Smith; and beloved aunt Jean Loughman, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Georgia Laborde Smith and Richard Leon Smith, and beloved grandparents, aunts, uncles, and niece Angie Smith.

A brief memorial service will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home's Mausoleum from 9:30 am to 10:00 am Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
