Michael Riles

Michael Wayne Riles, 66, a native of Crowley, Louisiana, and resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana passed away on October 3, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.

He had a dedicated work ethic for his entire career in engineering and piping design. He worked for several different engineering companies. Finally retiring from Sigma Engineering in 2016.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Norma Guidry Riles; daughter, Holly Riles and fiancé Joshua Yott; and stepfather, Tom Hynson; nieces and nephews, Aimee C. Richard, Derek Guidry and wife Casha, Beau Barbera and wife Kolbey, Amber Guidry Smith and husband Cody, Seve Battaglia, and Logan Barbera.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Oliver Riles and Frances Marie Dyer Hynson, and sister Vicki Riles Cook.

Mike was not only a loving husband, dad, and great friend, but also a caring, kind, and dedicated man. He will be profoundly loved and missed by many.

The Riles family wishes to extend our thanks to the St. George Fire Department, EBRP EMS, Emergency room staff at Ochsner, and the entire staff in ICU.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
