Michael Vincent Marcello

Michael Vincent Marcello of Bueche, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the age of 88. 

He was born October 31, 1935, to Charles Marcello and Mary Cosenza Marcello of Donaldsonville, Louisiana. 

Michael was a long-time member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lakeland and a member of the Knights of Columbus 8878. 

He loved spending time with his family and friends most especially if there was good music and good food involved. 

He is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Dorothy Mayers Marcello; his parents; and his brother, Sam Marcello.

Michael is survived by their daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Michael Blanchard; their two sons and daughters-in-law, Kirk and Ann Marcello and Jeffery and Micki Marcello; his sister, Lena Melancon; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff, nurses and aides at the Landmark Baton Rouge for their compassion and care. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. A Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 a.m.
