Michael Humble

Michael Mike George Humble, born on September 26, 1934, went to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, December 18, 2013, as a result of complications preceding a recent surgery. He was a kind and generous person that anyone would want to meet and knew no strangers. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. A native and lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, Mike was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was retired from GeorgiaPacific in Port Hudson, LA. Mike is survived by his loving wife, Shirley children, Rhonda Mutrie, Mike Humble and wife Margie, and Cliff Humble grandchildren, Eric and Johnny Mutrie, Mikelle Humble and Logan and Gary Humble and greatgrandchildren, Kirsten and Harlee Mutrie. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Biletnikoff brothers, Robert and Dale Humble and numerous nieces, nephews and many other relatives by marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Lillian Humble brothers, Don and Tommy Humble grandparents, George and Mary McLaughlin and former wife, Joyce Humble. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. on Friday, December 20, 2013 from 6 pm to 9 pm and will resume on Saturday, December 21, 2013 from 12 noon until funeral service at 2 pm.
