A devoted husband, father and son, he died of Merkel cell carcinoma at 4 a.m. Friday, Aug. 8, 2008, at his home in Baton Rouge. He was 51 and a native of Pascagoula, Miss. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home on Sunday, Aug. 10, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Religious service at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Monday, Aug. 11, at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Mike Collins. He is survived by his wife, Deborah W. Holman; parents, Alfred Al and Peggy Holman, of Jackson, Miss.; a daughter, Jessica Holman; a son, Christopher Holman and fiance Monica Mouch; and a brother, Mark Holman and wife Colette, of Dallas. He was a 1974 graduate of Pascagoula High School and a 1979 graduate of Mississippi State University. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Baton Rouge.
