Micah Miller

Micah Allen Miller, age 26, native of North Charleston, SC, and resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on October 22, 2015.

Micah, a beloved son of Jesus Christ, imperfect, as we all are, has left us for eternal rest God granted us with his blessed presence for too short a while. In His wisdom, He called him home for a purpose we won't understand this side of eternity. Micah had a special gift with people. His personality was infectious, making friends easily, he rarely went anywhere without running into an acquaintance. Micah loved soccer, and played from his early years through college. He loved his family, often reminiscing about the lazy summer days spent up at the camp fishing or swimming with his cousins.

He loved the Tigers. An avid fan, he always had an opinion about every game, but never wavered in his support for the purple and gold. He was learning to play golf, relishing the time on the course with both his Dad and brother. On the course, he found some peace and serenity in his young life. He will be greatly missed by his family, who prayerfully anticipate a reunion in heaven. Rest in peace son. You are free from your burdens. John 14:1-3.

Micah is survived by his parents, Roger A. and Debra H. Miller; older brother Benjamin C., age 28; Ben's fianc6, Jennifer L. Triche; maternal grandparents, Leo F. and Gwendolyn H. Harlan; four aunts, three uncles, and eight cousins. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Raymond A. and Lois Miller.

The family request that visiting hours be observed on Sunday, October 25, 2015, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory & Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, from 4:00 PM until 6:30 PM. Visiting hours will continue on Monday, October 26, 2015, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory & Funeral Home, from 9:00 AM until the time of services.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 26, 2015, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory & Funeral Home, 10:30 AM.
