Theresa Goff, born Meredith Theresa Altazin, died peacefully at home at 6:40 a.m. Friday, Dec. 17, 2010. She is reunited with her devoted husband and love of her life, Ernest Goff Sr., who preceded her in death seven months ago. Born July 3, 1928, in Plaquemine, Theresa enjoyed a full life of family and travel. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Marguerite Virgie Altazin a brother, Alvin Altazin Jr. two grandsons, Jamie Roth and Joshua Brumfield inlaws, Clyde and Annie Laura Goff sisterinlaw, Evelyn Altazin and numerous other loving friends and relatives. She is survived by her five children and their spouses, Debbie and James Roth, Gloria Elizabeth Goff, Ernest Jr. and Wendy Goff, Dr. Michael Goff, and William Paul and Teena Goff a brother, Joseph Ike Altazin two sistersinlaw, Eleanor and Ann brotherinlaw, Earl and numerous special nieces and nephews. She has also left behind nine grandchildren, five stepgrandchildren, nine greatgrandchildren and three stepgreatgrandchildren. The family wishes to express deep gratitude to the 4th floor neurology unit at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, with a special thanks to Kay and all the members of the plasmapheresis lab. Gratitude also goes to the Feliciana Home Health Services and to St. Joseph Hospice. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Theresas name to St. Joseph Hospice. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, at St. Johns Catholic Church in Plaquemine. Visitation begins at 10 a.m.
