Maury Drummond

Maury Drummond, age 74, passed away on April 24, 2016.

Maury was a graduate of Istrouma High School and Louisiana State University, where he lettered in basketball. He began his career at Istrouma High School as a basketball coach and civics teacher. Maury also served as the executive director of the USS Kidd for more than 20 years.

Maury is survived by his wife, Margaret Drummond; his children, Kerry Loupe, Dr. Maury Drummond and wife, Lili, Mark Drummond, and wife, Erica, Monica Dugas and husband, Ken, and Randall Jones and wife, Misty; his eleven grandchildren, Joseph Drummond, Jacob Drummond, Nicholas Drummond, Benjamin and Samuel Drummond, Andrew Drummond, Tyler Jones, Kaitlyn Dugas, Nathan Drummond, Peyton Jones, and Madelyn Dugas; and his brother, Wayne Drummond and wife, Gayle.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Havis and Helen Drummond.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visiting hours will resume on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 10:00 AM until services at 11:00 AM.

Interment will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the memorial fund at St. Patrick's Episcopal Church, 1322 Church Street, Zachary, LA 70791.
