Mathew Varughese

Mathew Varughese, native of India and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away at the age of 83. He was a talented artist and gardener who loved to fish. He was also a faithful member of Bethany Church.

Mathew is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Lola Varughese daughter, Elizabeth McCree Damon son, Joseph Varughese grandchildren, Josh and Emily Varughese and Alsa McCree and numerous siblings.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mathew P. Varughese and Rachel Joseph and his first wife, Mary Varughese.

Visiting hours will be observed at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, on Monday, November 10, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, conducted by Pastor Garlin Mizell. Interment will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
