Mary Wells

Mary S. Wells, born on August 17 in Charleston, AR and resident of Baton Rouge, La went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 16, 2012 at the age of 91. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 from 9 am until religious services at 11 am. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Pallbearers will be Ronald E Wells, Jr., Frank Wells, Chris Wells, T.J. Simpson, Chris Holman, and Scott Wells. She is survived by her sons and daughtersinlaw, Luther D. Wells Buddy and Martha, and Ronald E. Wells Sr. Doc and Patricia, and Faye W. Freeman seven grandchildren and their spouses, R. Scott Wells, Ronald Jr. and Rachelle Wells, Frank Wells, Cheryl Alexander, Chris Wells, Melissa and T.J. Simpson, and Monica and Chris Holman and four great grandchildren, Ashley, Grant, Elise, and Caroline. She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer J. Wells, Sr. and her son, Elmer J. Wells, Jr. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, a true lover of Gospel music. Now she can enter her heavenly mansion and rejoice that the race is run, the battle is fought and her reward is at hand. Her heavenly music is on for now on and one day the rest of us can join her in heaven. Spare the rod and spoil the child was not her choice. Granny, we appreciate you for not sparing the rod and not believing in quiet time.
