Mary Trevillion

Mary Ella Geter Berry Trevillion joined her loved ones in heaven on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Landmark of Baton Rouge Nursing Home at the age of 97.  She was born in Wilkinson County, MS.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Wanda Berry Frye; grandchildren, Calvin “Brent” Berry and wife Dawn, Jodie Katherine Bell, Jennings “Bryan” Frye, IV; daughter-in-law, Connie Berry; step-grandchildren, Kathy Farrelly and husband Robert, Michelle Guidry and husband Tim; 6 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Emily Geter; brothers, Leo A. Geter, Jr., Henry Lee Geter, William Geter, Alex B. Geter, John A. Geter; sister, Katherine Geter; husband, Baxter (PeeWee) Berry, JR.; son, Baxter (Calvin) Berry; husband, Dorsey O. Trevillion; and special son-in-law, J. B. Frye, III.

Mary was a registered nurse.  She was a Recovery Room Supervisor at Woman’s Hospital from its opening in 1968 until 1977.  She was a registered nurse with the Mississippi Department of Health.  She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.  She was loved and admired by everyone that knew her.  She was a charter member of CrossPoint Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 from 9 a.m. until Funeral Service at 11 a.m.  Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Woodville, MS at 2 p.m.  The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the Staff at Landmark Nursing Home for their kindness and caring towards our wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt, and to Lifesource Hospice.  Donations may be made to Woman’s Hospital, Foundation of Woman’s.

Pallbearers will be Alex Geter, Jr., Jerry Geter, Frank Geter, Jim Rogers, Brent Berry, Bryan Frye and Timothy Guidry.
