Mary Teresa James, age 85, a resident of Bayou Pigeon, passed away on April 11, 2022.
She attended and graduated from Baton Rouge High School and received her Paralegal Certification from LSU. Mary Teresa worked at Nottoway Plantation as the Historian.
Mary Teresa is survived by her husband, Donald James; her children, Kathy Easley, Helen Lemoine (Lester), Eddie Valentine and Lawanda Williams; brother, C.R. Babin; sister, Carolyn Ivy; seven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Kearney Babin and father, Francis Jarn Babin.
Visitation will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home on Friday, April 15, 2022 from 12:00 PM until services at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow on Monday, April 18, 2022 at St. George Catholic Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Valentine, C.R. Babin, Lester Lemoine, Jason Ruemker, Luke Valentine and Wayne Ivy. Honorary pallbearers Braydin Warren and Austin Brocato.
