Mary Stafford

Mary Baker Stafford, 56, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, La but a native of St. Amant, La. Mary was both a dedicated Red Cross volunteer and a very active parishioner with several ministries at St. Patricks Catholic Church. She was also a Mary Kay consultant but most importantly, she was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas L. Stafford daughter, Lindsay Leah Baker son, Steven Gayle Baker sister, Betty Jean Wells and brothers, Ricky Fonte and Travis Fonte. Preceded in death by her mother, Dora Mae Bergeron Fonte Father, Floyd Albert Fonte brother, Floyd Albert Fonte Jr., and sister, Laura Fonte. Visitation will be held at St. Patricks Catholic Church, 12424 Brogdon Ln. on Monday, January 13, 2014 from 9 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am, conducted by Father Jerry Martin. Interment will be at a later date. Pallbearers will be Steven Baker, Travis Fonte, Cody Fonte, Jared Fonte, and Rhett Fonte. Honorary pallbearers will be Elie Benoit and Stephen Braud.
