Mary Simmons

A retired employee of Harrison Paint Company, she passed away at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans on Tuesday, May 24, 2011. She was 65 years old, a native of Simmsport and a resident of Baton Rouge. She loved LSU baseball. Visiting will be at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Friday, May 27th from 1pm until service at 2pm, conducted by Pastor Odell Simmons. Inurnment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She is survived by her husband, Jerry P. Simmons motherinlaw, Carmelite T. Simmons daughters, Jennifer Simmons and Michelle Wolfkill sisters, Julia Aucoin and husband Andrew, Dorothy Roberts, Zora Marshall and husband Paul, Violet Hurst and husband Donald Jr. brothers, Bobby J. Hamlett and wife Beverly Steven C. Hamlett and wife Janet grandchildren, Tyler D. Wolfkill and Lane C. Wolfkill. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alto and Delta Hamlett a brother Alto Buddy Hamlett, Jr.and a brotherinlaw, Marvin Roberts.
