Mary Lynn Callaway McNeal,
native of Jackson, Mississippi and resident of Baton Rouge, LA., passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the age of 63. She was a graduate of Mississippi State and received her Masters in Social work from LSU in 1999. She was board certified in 2003. Mary loved traveling and spending time with her family. She volunteered at Heritage Ranch doing Equine Assisted Therapy. She loved shopping, horseback riding, gardening, bird and squirrel watching, her Bible study group, and being a listening ear for anyone who needed it. Mary was a loving and endearing mother, grandmother, and sister.
She is survived by her children, David McNeal, Daniel McNeal and wife Michelle Boudreau McNeal, Darla McNeal Garon and husband Joshua D. Garon, Sr. grandchildren, Joshua Drew Garon, Jared Lloyd Garon, Jacob Scott Garon, Emily Claire McNeal, Ethan Charles McNeal, and Elliot Christopher McNeal and brother, Albert Russell Callaway. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, James Charles Callaway and Doris Mae Smith Callaway her loving husband, Lloyd Byron McNeal brother, James Jimmy Charles Callaway and other dear relatives and friends.
Visiting hours will be observed at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Monday, June 2, 2014 from 5:00 pm8:00 pm. Visiting will resume on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 from 9:00 am until service time. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am.
