Mary Gascon

Mary Gascon passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at the age of 83.  She was born in Luling, TX, on July 29, 1937 to James and Hattie Bowden and grew up in Victoria, TX.  While working at Foster AFB in Victoria she met and married our dad, Raymond, who was stationed at the base.  They then returned to his hometown area of Baton Rouge. Mary is survived by her children and their spouses:  Sherilyn G. and James H. “Butch” Engels Jr; James Anthony “Andy” and Diane Gascon. Her son-in-law, N. Kevin Burris.  She was the proud Grandmother of:  Martin R. Holifield and Rodney Testerman; Trey Holifield and Amy Rispone; Janice Francois; Rachel and Craig Seippel.  “Grand Mary” of Brooklynn Holifield, Hayden and Arlen Francois, Casen and Cade Seippel, and Jonathan Maye.  She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond A. Gascon and her youngest daughter Melanie Elizabeth Burris.  The family would like to thank the staff at Landmark South for the help in caring for our mother for the last few years and to the entire staff at St. Josephs Carpenter House.  Burial service is pending.
