Mary Cortney

Mary Claire Gagnon Cortney, 84, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2013. She was native of South Dakota, former resident of La Jolla, California and current resident of Prairieville, Louisiana. Mary is survived by her daughters and sonsinlaw, Joan Elizabeth Cortney, Jane Ellen and Stephen Fuerch, Mary Denise and John Watts sons and daughterinlaw, David William Cortney, James Bryan and Deidre Cortney sisters and brotherinlaw, Dolores and Erv Malec, and Jane Plossl thirteen grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Dennis John Cortney daughterinlaw, Karen Cortney parents, Harold and Lydia Gagnon and brothers, Jack, Harold, and Miles Gagnon. Visitation will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA 70816 on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 from 5 pm until a Rosary at 7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 16, 2013 at Hallows Catholic Church in La Jolla, CA. Interment at El Cameno Memorial Park in San Diego, CA.
