Mary H. Causey

Mary Helen Causey passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at the age of 80. She was born September 1, 1943, in Castor, Louisiana to Levitt Benjamin Tilley and Zellie Mae Fowler Tilley. She was a graduate of Martin High School in Coushatta, Louisiana. Mary had a long and successful career with the State of Louisiana Welfare Department.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband of 56 years Lloyd V. Causey, who passed just three months prior. Mary is survived by nephews, nieces and countless friends.

Mary enjoyed yachting and traveling. She was known for her amazing ability to grow flowers, especially her roses, which lined the walkways to their homes. Always generous and gentle, she treated her nieces and nephews like they were her own. We will forever cherish our memory of her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 1:30 p.m.  Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
