Mary Frances R. Baker, 88, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2013. A native of McKinney, TX and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, LA for 61 years. Mary attended University of Texas, receiving a Bachelors degree in mathematics and was a member of Phi Mu Sorority. She was an avid bridge player, member of PEO, several book clubs and was president of Salvation Army Womens Auxillary. Mary devoted much of her time serving at Womens Hospital. Prior to marriage, she worked for The Tennessee Valley Authority TVA during the war. She enjoyed extensive traveling with her beloved husband, visiting all 50 states, and all Canadian provinces, along with England, and Europe. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Arley Baker two sons, Lang Baker and wife Janine, and Gary Baker and an abundance of friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Carvie Redus Reynolds. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 from 5:30 pm until 8 pm and will resume on Thursday, August 15, 2013 from 10 am until service at 12 noon.
