Marvin F. Kraft, age 79, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2015.
Marvin was born in Baton Rouge on December 20, 1936. He was a graduate of Baton Rouge High and attended LSU. Marvin graduated from Lake City College in Florida, majoring in Turf Management. He worked in the golf industry at golf clubs in Baton Rouge for 20 years and was a member of the PGA. Marvin loved the beach and spent many happy hours at his condo in Perdido Key, FL. He later retired from Louisiana Department of Revenue and was a veteran of the United States Army.
Marvin is survived by his brother, Donald W. Kraft and wife Dianne L.; nephews, Scott T. Kraft and fiancé Suzanne, Billy T. Long and wife Corinne of Baton Rouge; neice, Phyllis K. Hough and husband William "Bill" of Dallas; great nieces and nephews, Jordan Long, Katie Long, Lance Kraft, and Sadie Kraft; special step-son, Ronnie Duncan; and special friends, Cassie and David Crochet, and Jay Lee.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory & Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70816, from 9:00 AM until religious services at 10:00 AM conducted by Oren Conner.
Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made of First Baptist Church and Hospice of Baton Rouge.
