Martha Ballow Wales, 94, a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, died Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, at Baton Rouge General Medical CenterBluebonnet. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Monday, Jan. 10, from 9 a.m. until religious services at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Glen Miers. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She was a much loved sister, aunt and friend. Martha Wales was a retired school bus driver for the East Baton Rouge Parish school system and an avid gardener. She is remembered for her love for her job, her roses and her pets. She was a former member of Trinity Baptist Church and had been a member of Zoar Baptist Church. She is survived by a sister, Ruby Gulino special niece, Hazel Mott special nephew, Leroy E. Fleming and numerous other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Lee Wales parents, Edward and Molly Ballow three brothers, Thomas, Floyd and Sam Ballow and three sisters, Addie Fleming, Bessie Sipps and Mary Morgan.
