Marta Fielding

Marta V. Fielding 76, formerly of Lafayette, LA, passed away on July 18, 2013 in Baton Rouge, LA. She was born in Philadelphia, PA and was the daughter of the late Francis V. Wills and Doris Wood Wills. She was an art teacher and an artist that worked in all mediums. She had a wide following of students in Lafayette and is a former President of the Lafayette Art Association. Her artwork has won several awards and has been shown at several exhibitions including one at the Knickerbocker Artists of New York City. She was also an accomplished gourmet cook. She is survived by Howard Fielding, her former husband and caretaker during her long illness, two sons Bruce Fielding of Baton Rouge and Vance Fielding of Candler, NC, and two grand children, Brett Fielding of Greensboro, NC and Kara Fielding of Charlotte, NC. She has a twin sister, Carol Oberbrunner of Syracuse, NY. The funeral will be a private family affair.
