Mark Anthony Richard, Sr.

Mark Anthony Richard, Sr., a native and resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023 at the age of 68.  He was a graduate of Istrouma High School.  He spent his career working as a truck driver.  He enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Caroline Richard Smith and husband Andre, Mark Anthony Richard Jr. and wife Leah, Clay Austin Richard, and Rhett Lewis Richard; grandchildren, Amelia Richard, Rowen Smith, Eli Richard, Claire Smith, Madelyn Richard, and Parker Smith; brothers, Joseph Lee Richard Jr., Remi Francis Richard, and Gerald Paul Richard. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Lee Richard and Margaret Boudreaux Richard; and brother, Carroll Douglas Richard.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. Baton Rouge, LA 70816, on Friday, October 6, 2023 from 1:30 p.m. until Funeral Service at 3:30 p.m.  A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
